Clinical Psychologist

Dr Mike Gondelle is an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with experience working across NHS and clinical settings, supporting people with a wide range of psychological, emotional and relational difficulties. He offers a warm, open and compassionate therapeutic space, helping people feel heard, understood and supported while making sense of the difficulties they may be facing.
His approach is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic models developed through extensive clinical training and experience. Rather than applying a single model of therapy, he tailors his approach to each person’s needs, strengths and circumstances. His work is grounded in curiosity, collaboration and respect, helping people slow things down, reflect, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves without judgment.
Dr Gondelle has a particular interest in psychodynamic thinking. This involves exploring how past experiences, relationship patterns and earlier emotional experiences may shape present-day feelings, behaviours and ways of relating to others. Difficulties that feel immediate or situational can sometimes have deeper roots, and therapy can help people recognise these patterns with greater clarity. Through this process, he supports people in developing insight, flexibility, and greater choice in how they respond to life’s challenges.
Alongside his broader clinical work, Dr Gondelle has a particular interest in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community. He aims to provide an affirming and inclusive space where people can explore their experiences safely, openly and without fear of judgement.
His clinical experience includes supporting people with:
- Depression and low mood
- Anxiety and stress
- Loss and adjustment
- Relationship difficulties
- Disordered eating patterns
- Obsessive and compulsive behaviours
- Neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism, ADHD and learning disabilities
- Brain injury
- Emotional challenges linked to chronic health conditions
- Bipolar mood dysregulation
- Difficulties with emotional regulation
- Longstanding relational patterns
Dr Gondelle completed his doctoral training at University College London and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, registration number PYL048012. He has worked for several years within the NHS, providing psychological assessment and therapy to individuals experiencing a broad range of mental health and emotional difficulties.
