Stacey Konhot is an Assistant Psychologist at Umid. She joined from the University of Portsmouth, where she completed her BSc in Forensic Psychology. Stacey is passionate about promoting mental health and positively impacting the lives of young people and vulnerable communities.
Throughout her career, Stacey has gained valuable experience in various settings, including schools, youth centres, and hospitals. Her work with young individuals, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), has equipped her with the skills to create tailored strategies to foster development and resilience. Stacey has also volunteered at a hospital House, providing compassionate support to families navigating hospital stays, and at a women’s shelter, where she assisted individuals facing complex life circumstances.
Stacey’s practical experience and her multilingual abilities in English, French, and German allow her to connect meaningfully with people from diverse backgrounds. She empowers others by fostering supportive environments and advocating for mental well-being.
As part of her role at Umid, Stacey will help lead wellbeing sessions. These sessions highlight the importance of mental health and self-care while providing practical strategies to support a healthy mindset. Stacey is committed to continuing her work in mental health, focusing on creating safe and inclusive spaces for all.
